5 Years of Serving the Youth of Southern California
As President of the DA L.I.S.T., Inc., I am proud to have this opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas as to where DA L.I.S.T. is directing its energies to remain solvent in the community in the near future.
DA L.I.S.T., Inc. is now entering its 5th year in serving the community and residents of Southern California, particularly those youth who are considered underserved and neglected in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
Five years ago, an unique group of men from Riverside and San Bernardino Counties decided they wanted to leave a legacy of support and advocacy to our youth by providing leadership and direction through sporting events and education and health programs. These men through their hard work and integrity, created several life altering events and programs for the youth of Southern California. These events and programs provided to our youth opportunities to becoming successful individuals in their respective communities as oppose to being another statistic whose options are less fruitful, such as involvement in drugs, gangs, or dropping out of high school and not receiving a high school diploma or not obtaining a college education.
These founders established a code pledging to go beyond “simply making a difference,” by providing extracurricular activities in sporting events and education and health oriented workshops from a network of local schools, colleges as well as other contributors and supporters.
Through the support of the community of Southern California, DA L.I.S.T., Inc. has begun to develop and provide countless tournaments, bowls, events, and education and health programs to the youth of Southern California; and in particular the youth from Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
As we begin our 5th year, we are overwhelmed with the response and support from the community of Southern California to expand our existing tournaments, bowls, events, and education and health programs and possibly establish a level of sustainability in order to develop and implement even more goal-initiating programs and events.
As President of DA L.I.S.T., Inc., we are making this a landmark year by establishing relationships and partnerships with more community leaders and youth sports programs from other regions in the United States. Through this effort, DA L.I.S.T., Inc. will become another legacy in the already culturally rich, diverse, talented, and historic Southern California; and in particular for the residents of the City of San Bernardino and Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
